Text Box: The Super Star Speech  materials have been designed by an experienced speech-language-pathologist to assist parents in helping their children achieve developmentally appropriate speech and to provide some of the necessary resources. The focus of these books is the correction of articulation (speech sound) errors.
Errors are a normal part of speech development and many children do not have perfect articulation until around 7 years of age.  However, there are milestones that children should be making in their progress toward “adult speech.” Children who do not meet these milestones are at high risk for not developing correct speech on their own and may also experience frustration with or embarrassment about their speech.

Super Star Speech will help you determine whether your child’s speech skills are normal for his age and will help you to help your child improve his speech in an organized, yet fun way. Super Star Speech is designed to be used with children ages 3 and up.

The Super Star books are intended for parents, so they are clearly written and easy to use, free of technical jargon. If you suspect or know that your child has an articulation problem and you are willing to work with him or her consistently for a short time each day, I think you will find Super Star Speech to be an invaluable resource!

Text Box: “Super Star Speech is a kind and thoughtful ‘gift’ from the author to parents of children with speech problems. There are very few speech therapy programs out there for the layman, and even many speech therapy websites are geared to the professional. Compared to what I have seen, this book is less expensive and more user friendly.”

Text Box: NOTE: If your child has many articulation errors, or another type of speech problem such as a language delay or stuttering, or if you are not able to commit to working with your child regularly on his speech,  please seek the assistance of a speech-language pathologist. Likewise, if your child has a physical problem that affects his speech, such as a hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, or cleft palate, this book does not attempt to address those more complex issues.
